Recto AW20

For the past two years, South Korean labels have moved to the forefront on an International scale. From edgy street style, to upscale luxury brands gracing Fashion Week runways and magazine editorial pages. More and more Seoul based brands are now stocked on Net-A-Porter which debuted their extensive "Korean Collective" last fall.

As one of the more famous countries for all things beauty and wellness, Korea’s fashion scene has flown relatively under-the-radar. But in the last twelve months, a number of brands have been a talking point for fashion editors world wide. Muted tones, structured lines, and pieces that will last season on season. A Capsule Wardrobe is the epitome of less is more. I find myself restyling Korean pieces more than any other key wardrobe item.

Introducing RECTO. A Seoul brand with substance. I first discovered RECTO a year ago for their spring summer collection. One thing that stands out with all styles is the quality. The craftsmanship which has gone into this jumper is second to none - using wool cashmere blend material, it is soft to the touch and provides a comfortable fit. When the weather cools in Sydney, styling with a shirt underneath will create a masculine feel, especially with the androgynous chunky boots.
