Prada Cleo

I think its safe to say the ‘90s are having a bit of a moment right now. For me, the time has come to go all in on the new it bag, because you’d have to be hiding under a rock to not realise how good Prada is right now. The Re-Nylon range caught my eye earlier in the year with their recycled fabrics, creating paperbag shorts and cute spaghetti strap slip dresses with their signature logo subtly styled not to overpower the shapes.

Our ultimate goal will be to convert all Prada virgin nylon into Re-Nylon by the end of 2021. This project highlights our continued efforts towards promoting a responsible business. This collection allows us to make our contribution and create products without using new resources

But taking the main stage today is The Prada Cleo - first debuted in Prada's S/S 21 'Multiple Views' menswear show and then again in the S/S 21 womenswear collection. The Cleo has staying power, and will be an investment for decades to come. Finished with sleek, clean lines and the signature Prada logo.

I’ve been searching for a black designer bag for the best part of 2 years. After viewing the S/S 21 virtually, I knew this was the bag for me. I’ll be styling down with head to toe oversized linens and cashmere, dressing up with slip dresses.

End note on sustainability:

After attending Copenhagen Fashion Week in January, I realised the commitment this fashion circuit embodies towards a responsible way to showcase new collections. Danish fashion week hopes to transform it into a ‘platform for advocacy’ with tough new environmental requirements for participating brands. Let’s hope other Fashion Weeks will take a leaf out of Copenhagen’s book. I commend Prada for their ongoing efforts to change the way fashion is consumed.
